As an avid technology and management advocate, Dave thrives on his role as an IT Management advisor. As leader if 3 IT management consulting businesses over 25 years, David has enjoyed breaking new ground in how IT can best serve the business.

 

David was part of growing ITIL adoption in Australia from 1998 to 2010.  He was an official reviewer of V2 and V3. He then served on the ITIL V3 Global CAB with many of the V3 authors.   He was the cross life-cycle reviewer for the 2011 ITIL update.

 

As an advisor, David has worked with many of Australia’s Tier 1 companies and Government agencies.  In recent times he has been working on IT Operating Model Transformation, Service Management Office and SIAM.  IT4IT and DevOps are his current focus as drivers of IT value for the Enterprise.

  • Authored the Digital IT Operating Model Transformation IP
  • Facilitation and design of all elements of the Operating Model
  • Lead architect for advisory and tooling solutions
  • Over 15 engagements including large finance and government
  • Presented on IT4IT and Operating Models at The Open Group international conference in 2017 and 2019

  • Creation of SMO and SIAM vendor requirements and engagement model

  • Built COBIT 5 based governance models in Australian public companies

  • Value Stream Mapping advocate and practitioner
  • Co-created Value Stream presentation with Value Stream Mapping Author Mike Osterling for The Open Group conferences

  • A prime mover in introducing ITIL consulting and training to Australian market in the late ‘90s (Managing Director Pink Elephant Australia)
